Herve Leger Cutout Bandage Sunsuit

What’s the purpose of a swimsuit? It’s for you to swim in right? Swimsuits are naturally designed to get wet. Well, except for the Herve Leger Cutout Bandage Sunsuit. You will notice they call it a “sunsuit” because it can’t be used in water; that is, if you want to get the best out of it! I’m not making this up. It’s written on the product description at its net-a-porter page.
If this suit is not for swimming, what’s it for? I think it’s merely for lounging around the pool or in your balcony while getting a suntan. It’s merely for show. The page also advices that the Herve Leger Cutout Bandage Sunsuit be worn with other designer accessories!
For a display suit, this Herve Leger piece is quite costly. It’ll cost you $1,050! And for that you’ll get an orange and violet sunsuit with cut-out front, that’s specifically in the midriff. It’s really very stylish, there’s no denying that; but if your goal is to get in the water, this is a very impractical piece!
Still, would you be tempted to get one?
